About This Art Walk

When is the May Art Walk?
The May Art Walk takes place Friday, May 15, 2026 from 5:00–8:00 PM throughout downtown Biddeford.

Is the Art Walk rain or shine?
Yes! The May Art Walk is rain or shine. Many experiences happen indoors, so there’s still plenty to explore no matter the weather.

What are the official event hours?
Sidewalk vendors will be open from 5:00–8:00 PM. Indoor stops, galleries, businesses, exhibits, and activities may have varying hours depending on the location, so you may find some spots open earlier or later.

What’s new this month?
Don’t miss the brand new Kids Corner on Upper Main Street! Families can enjoy chalk art, face painting, balloon art, and hands-on activities with community partners including BiddoBahn, Mill Studio Arts, Rift Arcade, and Apex Youth Connection. It’s a fun, family-friendly stop designed especially for young creatives.

Where should I park?
Downtown has several public parking options available. You can also find bike rack locations if you’re cycling in.

Decentralized Gallery at Portland Pie Co.

The Decentralized Gallery is a creative collaboration between Common Roots Studio and local businesses, bringing artwork out of traditional gallery spaces and into everyday places around downtown. During the Art Walk, stop by Portland Pie Co. to experience the current featured artist.

Kids Corner: Chalk Art, Face Painting, Balloon Art and more!

The Kids Corner at Art Walk is a hands-on hub of creativity and play, featuring chalk art, face painting, balloon art, and interactive workshops hosted in collaboration with BiddoBahn, Mill Studio Arts, Rift Arcade, and Apex Youth Connection. It’s a lively, family-friendly stop where kids can make, move, and imagine right alongside the Art Walk festivities.

Look for Kids Corner popping up on both sides of upper Main Street, between BiddoBahn and Rift Arcade.

Heart of Biddeford: Taylor Maguire

Stop by Heart of Biddeford during Art Walk to experience the vibrant, colorful illustrations of Taylor Maguire, an artist working in both digital and traditional mediums. Their mixed-media pieces blend techniques in unexpected ways, creating bold, expressive work that’s well worth a close look.

Elements: Gallery by Corinne Phelan

This month’s Art Gallery at Elements is by Portland-based watercolor artist Corinne Phelan. Swing by between 4-6pm to meet her and purchase her framed work and unframed prints!

Luci's Lather Lab

Discover the art of soapmaking at Luci’s Lather Lab, a local maker creating small-batch, science-inspired soaps and body products with clean ingredients and creative flair. It’s the perfect Art Walk stop if you love handmade goods with a personal touch. Find the lab inside the Counting House (90 Saco Falls Way) in Suite #B3.

Photo Walk with Josh Johnson

The Third Friday Photo Walk with Josh Johnson is a free, low-pressure creative photo walk during Biddeford Art Walk. Each month, Josh offers a simple photography prompt, then leads participants on a short walk through downtown Biddeford to slow down, notice more, and make images with intention.

All experience levels are welcome, from professional photographers to phone shooters and curious beginners. After the walk, participants are invited to return to the studio, share what they noticed, and connect with other creative locals.

City Theater presents The Cemetery Club

The Cemetery Club at City Theater runs May 8–24, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. (no performance Sunday, May 10).
